You Can Help – Talk To Your Representatives.
Wildlife across the country is at risk. Congress is considering rolling back key protections in the Endangered Species Act (ESA) and Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA)—laws that have saved eagles, turtles, and whales from extinction. If these laws are weakened, countless species could lose the protections they need to survive.
NOAA’s drastic staff cuts to the Office of National Marine Sanctuaries put our nation’s ocean treasures, coastal economies, and marine wildlife at serious risk. Without adequate funding and workforce support, vital conservation efforts, scientific research, and community programs will suffer—jeopardizing the health of our waters and the livelihoods that depend on them. We must act now by demanding that policymakers restore funding and protect these critical sanctuaries before it’s too late.
We need your voice to stop this from happening. Please take just a few minutes to protect wildlife by choosing one—or both—of these actions:

These laws protect more than a thousand species, including whales, dolphins, and sea turtles from habitat destruction, industrial expansion, and extinction threats. Weakening these protections will:
- Leave species vulnerable to increased habitat destruction
- Reduce critical protections
- Threaten national parks, marine sanctuaries, and outdoor recreation economies
