Michael Fris

Michael (Mike) Fris recently retired from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service after a distinguished career that began in 1991. Throughout his tenure, he focused on endangered species conservation and water resource issues across the western continental United States. Mike brings extensive experience in environmental policy and has a strong track record of collaboration with partner organizations, government agencies, and stakeholders to support the recovery of listed species. Earlier in his career, his academic and field work centered on the ecology of marine species in California, Costa Rica, and Spain.
