Alireza A is a Maui-based AI leader and Co-Founder of **The Blue Dot Labs, **an advisory firm that helps mission-driven organizations harness artificial intelligence for innovation, operational excellence, and long-term impact. Backed by nearly two decades in technology—including 12 years at Google guiding engineering for Google Maps and launching new products in Area 120. Ali blends deep technical expertise with a passion for environmental stewardship and local resilience. His career in nonprofit and community is relatively fresh, but he is eager to apply his deep tech expertise to help nonprofits achieve their missions through innovative, data‑driven solutions. 

Ali’s partnership with Pacific Whale Foundation (PWF) began in the wake of the 2023 Lahaina wildfires, when he led efforts to restore West Maui connectivity by installing Starlink internet for residents and first responders. Since then, The Blue Dot Labs has collaborated with PWF to deploy an AI-driven grant-writing platform and support organizational transformation—work that exemplifies his commitment to marrying cutting-edge technology with science-based conservation. As a full-time Maui resident and local business owner, Ali understands Hawaiʻi’s unique challenges and opportunities and brings a community-first perspective to every initiative. 

As a PWF Board Member, Ali aims to help the Foundation scale its global impact while honoring its scientific integrity and deep community roots. He looks forward to working with fellow board members, staff, and volunteers to advance pioneering research, amplify conservation advocacy, and create educational opportunities that inspire the next generation of ocean guardians.
