You Can Help – Talk To Your Representatives

Wildlife across the country is at risk. Congress is considering rolling back key protections in the Endangered Species Act (ESA) and Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA)—laws that have saved eagles, turtles, and whales from extinction. If these laws are weakened, countless species could lose the protections they need to survive.

We need your voice to stop this from happening. Please take just a few minutes to protect wildlife by choosing one—or both—of these actions

Email Your Representatives (Takes 1 Minute)

Call Your Representatives (Takes 2 Minutes)

A quick phone call is the most effective way to make your voice heard.

Dial (202) 224-3121 to reach the Capitol switchboard. Ask to be connected to your Senator or Representative (you can find them here).

Use this script:

“Hello, my name is [Your Name], and I am calling to urge [Senator/Representative Last Name] to oppose any rollbacks to the Endangered Species Act (ESA) and Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA).

These laws protect more than a thousand species, including whales, dolphins, and sea turtles from habitat destruction, industrial expansion, and extinction threats. Weakening these protections will:

  • Leave species vulnerable to increased habitat destruction
  • Reduce critical protections
  • Threaten national parks, marine sanctuaries, and outdoor recreation economies
