Leiana Coloma-Naho’oikaika

Leiana joined Pacific Whale Foundation in 2023 as an Education Specialist. Lei was born and raised on the island of ʻIhikapalaumāewa, where her curiosity for the natural world evolved. She developed a deep connection to marine life, intrigued by its interconnectedness to the ‘āina. As an Education Specialist, Lei hopes to instill the power of seeking knowledge using our environment and inspire conservation and sustainability.

Within the first year, Lei expanded her current role to support our lāhui in partnership with the Outreach team. Lei’s passion for caring for her people and the ‘āina has grown immensely. She is grateful for the opportunity to be boots on the ground. Every day, her ʻohana and the Lāhainā community fuel her work in the outreach department in the long-term future.
